
BACKGROUND:
Over the last 11 years, Tricia has written, directed and starred in a wide variety of films, plays and television shows. She most recently completed the Women In The Director’s Chair Career Advancement Module and was selected to be one of eight participants in the Bell Media Diverse Screenwriting Program. From Science Fiction to diverse, female-driven action, Tricia balances her love of powerful dramatic feature films with stories that reflect diversity in the world around her. In 2018, Tricia’s short film Clinch received a nomination for Best Cinematography at the Richard Harris International Film Festival in Ireland and won for Best Actress at the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival. Tricia’s short films and plays have been presented at numerous festivals and received critical acclaim. These include WIFT-Toronto Short Film Showcase, Vancouver International Women in Film Festival, Vancouver Asian Film Festival, Female Eye Film Festival (Toronto), The Timehri Film Festival, and the NSI Online Film Festival.

Clinch
Clinch is a dramatic short film about a professional female boxer who finds herself in a brutal love triangle between her girlfriend and boxing Coach, driven to be at the top in the ring she destroys her life outside of it. Clinch explores the act of betrayal through self-sabotage in the world of boxing. RT: 14:00 (2018). Produced by the Immediate Group and funded by the National Film Board of Canada.

John has traveled the globe and after a lifetime of adventure, he has grown weak and downtrodden. Now he lives, and loves, through his memories. John hides in the safety of his thoughts until he is taken by a stroke. His memories remind him of how important it is to survive.
